Rock Creek Cutthroat - a painting for the WestSlope Chapter of Montana Trout Unlimited

This year, I again had the privilege of creating a painting to benefit one of Montana's Trout Unlimited chapters. I really enjoy when I can use my art to help raise funds for a great cause. This painting, titled "Rock Creek Cutthroat" depicts a Westslope Cutthroat, which is a cutthroat species that is native to the western part of Montana. The best part of working on this piece was a fall trip to fish upper Rock Creek with chapter board member Mark Kuipers. We had a great day fishing and I was able to gather a lot of high-quality reference material for the painting.

This painting will be auctioned off at the WestSlope Chapter's annual fundraising banquet in Missoula, MT on Feb. 27th. There will also be 25 signed/numbered, limited edition prints for sale at the event.
