Bridger Mountain Plein Air Study

I did this plein air study of the Bridger Mountains last week. This is a view of the mountain range from the Bridger Canyon (east) side from around Stone Creek Canyon. This is the first plein air study I've done that will be used to create a larger piece. I plan to do a 12X24 painting of a similar view of the mountain range. I have multiple photos of the area that will show me all the detail I'll need and this study will help to show me what the colors and values actually looked like to the eye. I still need a lot of practice before my plein air studies will be truly accurate but I'm having a lot of fun with the process.
